Bobby's Back

Fresh off his appearance with Team USA, Ranger 2006 First Round pick Bobby Sanguinetti returned to his Brampton Battalion teammates and the theme was the number 1.

By one we mean, one goal, one assist a minus one but also the first star of the game as the Battalion were very happy to have Sanguinetti back in their lineup posting a 5-3 over Mississauga St. Michael's Majors.

Got to hand it to Sanguinetti as we did an interview with him for the next issue of the Blueshirt Bulletin. He told us that his main goal was to get back on to the ice and help the Battalion win.

Sanguinetti scored his 18th goal on the power play 5:15 into the first period to give the Battalion a 2-0 lead. Hopefully it is the start of a goal scoring surge as Sanguinetti told us his goal for the season is 30 goals.

At 9:47 of the first period, Sanguinetti got the Battalion going as he start the play that led to teammate Luke Lynes scoring his 12th goal of the season to give the Battalion a 3-0 lead. The assist was number 27 on the season giving Sanguinetti 45 points for the season.

Antoine LaFleur was the back up tonight as his Prince Edward Island Rocket defeated the Drummondville Voltigeurs 5-2. With the QMJHL trading deadline passing, Lafleur is going to remain with the Rocket at least until the final trading period of the season.
