Not the Right Time

This is Prospect Park and it is supposed to be about Ranger Prospects. Tonight that is what we will write about and save for another day our anger over once again Ranger history being disrespected by not honoring Andy Bathgate.

Instead we will tell you that Tomas Zaborsky had an assist in a losing effort as his Saginaw Spirit lost to the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds 5-3. It was not a good loss for the Spirit as they had been gaining ground in their quest to move up in the playoff seedings.

The Spirit are currently struggling going 4-4-1-1 in their last 10 games and also struggling as well is Zaborsky. After starting the month with a 5-3-8 start, Zaborsky has just 2 assists in his last 4 games.

When Zaborsky is scoring the Spirit are winning so if the Spirit have any hope of moving up the conference playoff seedings then Zaborsky better up his scoring.

Upcoming

The highlight this weekend will be Carl Hagelin's top ranked Michigan Wolverines taking on in-state rival and number 5 Michigan State in a home and home series that could go a long way in determining NCAA tournament seedings for both schools. If you can get FSN Detroit enjoy this weekend's games.

All of the CHL prospects with the exception of Antoine Lafleur (who is supposed to be close to returning) will be in action as now the focus starts to be for playoff positioning.

At the College level, Max Campbell looks to rebound from a frustrating weekend as his Western Michigan Broncos play Ferris State in a home and home series.

Jordan Foote and Michigan Tech will host Colorado College as they try to get back to 500 and improve their seeding for the conference tournament.

We do not know if either Billy Ryan will return to the Maine lineup this weekend or do we know about Eric Hunter.

And hopefully Danny Hobbs and his Ohio Junior Bluejackets try to start a new winning streak as they travel to take on the Lincoln Stars.

Of course there remains just one place to find out about how well the Ranger prospects did and that is us at Prospect Park presented by Prospect Park.
