The quickie report

Jesse Graham (OHL Images)
Just 2 games involving prospects on Thursday and both involving New York Islander prospects playing in the OHL. First up is newly named captain Jesse Graham (2012 6th) and his Niagara IceDogs as they hosted the North Bay Battalion. The IceDogs were looking for their first win of the season which they got edging out the Battalion 3-2.

Graham had a secondary assist on the IceDogs first goal of the game for his 3rd point of the season (1-2-3) as the IceDogs won for the first time in five games. Graham is following fellow Islander prospect Ryan Strome (currently with Bridgeport of the AHL) as the IceDog's captain.

Victor Crus-Rydberg (NYI 2013 5th) and his Plymouth Whalers were spanked 5-1 by the Windsor Spitfires in Windsor. Crus-Rydberg was scoreless and a -1 as Plymouth fell to 2-4 on the season.

Business is about to pick up

The "vacation" part of the prospect schedule ends tomorrow as the US colleges will begin play on Saturday night with most teams playing an exhibition schedule. Counting games will be right behind the exhibition game just a couple of days later.
