Subway Super Series

The annual event pitting Team Russia taking on teams from the 3 Canadian Junior Leagues got underway with Game 1 in Gatineau with Ranger prospects Anthony Duclair (2013 3rd) and Ryan Graves (2013 4th) on the Team QMJHL roster. The series is used by Hockey Canada as part of their evaluation process for their World Under-20 squad although neither Duclair or Graves have a realistic chance of being invited to tryout this year.

Game 1 went the way of Team QMJHL 3-2 with neither Ranger prospect scoring but Graves did earn a +1 when he was on the ice for Team QMJHL's 2nd goal. Both prospects will get to play in Game 2 on Wednesday when the series shifts to Sherbrooke.
