No Rest on Sunday

It was a very quiet Sunday with just three Ranger prospects in action starting with Ryan Hillier of the Halifax Mooseheads.

Hillier scored his prospect leading 13th goal of the season but his Halifax Mooseheads lost their third straight game in shoot out this time to the Moncton Wildcats 5-4. The second period goal was an unassisted power play goal which also was Hillier's fifth power play goal of the year.

Hillier also made his shoot out chance but the Wildcats were able to stop Hillier's linemate Peter-James Corsi on his attempt to win the game.

Hillier for the game was a -1 with 7 shots and 4 "good" hits on the afternoon. Hillier is now 13-8-21 for the season which is second among prospects

Bobby Sanguinetti had an assist but his Brampton Battalion dropped a 5-2 home ice game to the Kitchener Rangers. For Sanguinetti it was his prospect leading fifteenth assist and 24 point. Sanguinetti was also a +1 which brings his plus/minus to a +8

David Skokan also had an assist but his Rimouski Oceanic lost on the road to the Chicoutimi Sagueneens 4-1. Skokan was moved back to center after spending a couple of games on the wing.

Skokan went 4-5 on faceoffs, a -1 for the game and had 2 good hits.

Monday is when we make what is already a done deal announcing the "Dean Prentice Prospect of the Month".
