Getting ready for our weekend

Thursday night hockey featured just one Ranger prospect Tomas Zaborsky and his Saginaw Spirit as they took on the latest in wonder kids John Tavares and his Oshawa Generals. If you have never seen Tavares in action then you are missing someone who is not going to be a special player, he already is.

As for the game itself Zaborsky was held scoreless as the Spirit lost to the Generals 4-2. Zaborsky was a -2 but helped to hold Tavares to just an assist.

Tavares is special If you do not know about John Tavares then how about some information for you. The first 16 year old since Wayne Gretzky to score 70 goals in a season, this is a player who will be even better than the Pen's Crosby.

In just 29 games, Taveres already is 23-40-63 a tad behind his pace of last season.

Friday night is going to be it's usual busy event and we will have all the action for you.

Do not forget to cast your vote for the prospect of the month
