Sunday Action

Wish we could say that we have a ton of goals and great plays to talk about but sorry this Sunday report has neither.

Tomas Zaborsky came as close as anyone did to be a star on Sunday scoring his 15th goal of the season as his Saginaw Spirit fell 3-1 to the Guelph Storm. The overall game is what hurt Zaborsky here as he was a -1 with a 2 minute minor for boarding.

Bobby Sanguinetti was blanked but his Brampton Battalion had an easy win over the Sudbury Wolves 4-1. Without even asking we know Sanguinetti will trade a scoreless game for a win any time.

Danny Hobbs was scoreless but his Ohio Junior Bluejackets lost to the Tri-City Storm 5-2.

David Skokan was not in the lineup and we suspect he was injured again but his Rimouski Oceanic were badly beaten by the Quebec Remparts 9-2. As soon as we get confirmation as to his status we will pass it along. Updated Report: We heard from Isabelle Breton of the Rimouski Oceanic and David has returned to Europe to play for Team Slovakia in the World Junior Championships.

Antoine Lafleur was the backup and it appears he is no longer the starting goalie for the Prince Edward Island Rocket as he sat for the 6th straight game. The Rocket are winning (their 5th straight home win today 4-2 over the Chicoutimi Saguenéens) which makes it harder for Lafleur to get back into the lineup.

We sadly have to say that it would be in Lafleur's best interests (and the Rangers) if he was traded so all can see whether or not Lafleur is a legit prospect.

Tomorrow

We make it official Bobby Sanguinetti back to back winner of the Dean Prentice Prospect of the Month award. ALL HAIL THE SANGUINETTI
