A Trade, a return, and some games

Saturday night may not have had any stars but there was some good play from the New York Ranger and New York Islander prospects.

Adam Pelech (NYI 2012 3rd)
had a goal while Troy Donnay (NYR 2013 UFA) had an assist as their Erie Otters defeated the Sudbury Wolves 5-2. Pelech scored his 6th goal of the season when he scored the Otter's 5th goal of the game in the 3rd period. Pelech was named the 3rd star of the game for the Otters as he improved to 6-10-16.

Donnay set up the Otter's 4th goal when he set up Dylan Strome's goal at 7:19 of the 2nd period. It was Donnay's 5th assist as he is now 1-5-6.

Adam Tambellini's (NYR 2013 3rd)
2nd goal of the season gave his 14th ranked North Dakota hockey team a 3-2 lead as they had to settle for a 3-3 overtime tie with Boston University. It was Tambellini's first goal since the first game of the season back in October (8 game) as he is now is 2-1-3.

Mackenzie Skapski (NYR 2013 6th)
returned to action after missing 8 games to an undisclosed injury with a 24 save performance to lead his Kootenay Ice to a 5-2 win over Ryan Pulock's (NYI 2012 1st) Brandon Wheat Kings. Skapski playing in his first game since November 5th improved to 7-5-2 2.97 goals against and a 0.902 save percentage.

Ryan Pulock scored the first goal of the game, his 9th on an unassisted play just 1:32 into the game. Pulock is 9-14-23 on the season.

Anthony Duclair (NYR 2013 3rd)
had a primary assist to extend his personal scoring streak to 5 games (4-4-8) but his Quebec Remparts fell to the Rimouski Océanic via the shootout 4-3. Duclair set up Quebec's first goal and recorded 2 shots on the night as he is now 22-13-35 on the season.

Victor Crus-Rydberg (NYI 2013 5th)
had the primary assist on Plymouth's 2nd goal of the game which tied the score at 2-2. However the Guelph Storm would score the game's next 4 goals to earn a 6-2 win over Crus-Rydberg's Plymouth Whalers. Crus-Rydberg is now 5-16-21 on the season.

Kyle Burroughs (NYI 2013 7th)
was scoreless and a -2 as his Regina Pats dropped a 5-1 decision to the Red Deer Rebels.

Ryan Graves (NYR 2013 4th)
was scoreless, -1 on 1 shot and 3 hits as his Charlottetown Islanders lost to the Baie-Comeau Drakkar 2-1.

Robbie Russo (NYI 2011 4th)
was scoreless on 4 shots but his 6th ranked Notre Dame Fighting Irish los to the 11th ranked UMass-Lowell 3-1. Notre Dame was missing 5 regulars from their lineup including Steven Fogarty (NYR 2011 3rd) due to injury as they lost both games this weekend.

Stephon Williams (NYI 2013 4th) got the start for the Minnesota State Mavericks but was pulled after the first period as the Mavericks would defeat the Bowling Green Falcons 3-2 in overtime. Williams gave up 2 goals on 13 shots.

Jesse Graham (NYI 2012 6th) was traded by the Niagara IceDogs to the Saginaw Spirit for draft picks. For Graham the move sends him from the last place IceDogs to one of the contenders in the OHL's Western Conference. This helps Graham's chances to earn a professional contract playing on a playoff contender.
