NEW YORK, NY, March 12, 2014 – Blueshirt Bulletin, the Independent Monthly Publication covering the New York Rangers®, announced today that contributor Jess Rubenstein of the Prospect Park, will be bringing his prospect coverage exclusively to Blueshirt Bulletin.

“Jess has been a wonderful contributor to the Blueshirt Bulletin print edition for many years,” said owner and editor Daniel Akeson. “We are excited to have his coverage exclusive to our subscribers both in print and now on our website.”

Rubenstein has been covering National Hockey League prospects for over a decade and is well respected in the industry. He will not only be covering New York Rangers® prospects, but others throughout the league as well.

“As I have looked to expand my own coverage, the Blueshirt Bulletin provided a terrific platform to reach the hockey community,” said Rubenstein. “I am excited to be part of their re-design and grow our coverage together.”

Rubenstein will be assuming the role of Prospect Editor for Blueshirt Bulletin with the intention of bringing together a first-rate prospect staff.

“The focus of our re-design has been community and the connection that Blueshirt Bulletin and Prospect Park has with the prospects and fan base is unmatched,” said Akeson. “We want to continue to foster that and establish ourselves as the premiere source for prospect coverage.”

Rubenstein’s coverage will be featured on the main page beginning April 1 as well as special “subscribers only” features within Blueshirt Bulletin Plus.

“This is a special time for the Prospect Park and Blueshirt Bulletin,” said Rubenstein. “With the pending re-design and re-branding, we are excited to reach the hockey community in new and innovative ways.”

Blueshirt Bulletin, the independent monthly print and digital publication covering New York's Hockey Team was founded by former Editor and Publisher Richard Resnick, who served in that position until 2000.
With a strong history of excellent hockey coverage including unmatched prospect and minor league coverage, the current Blueshirt Bulletin staff has been behind the Zamboni-wheel since the 2009 - 2010 NHL season. Having taken over from previous Editor and Publisher Dubi Silverstein, Daniel Akeson has looked to bring the Blueshirt Bulletin coverage into the digital age, with a newly designed website and added fan-favorite features and exclusive subscriber access. Akeson, who has worked with terrific hockey minds such as MSG Network's Stan Fischler and the late John Halligan, has assembled a terrific team to lead the publication and website while continuing to bring exceptional coverage of all things New York Hockey.
