Make it a 4th New York Ranger draft pick to earn a roster spot to the World Under-20 Championships as 2009 5th round pick Roman Horak was named to the Czech Republic roster.
Horak who plays for the Chilliwack Bruins in the WHL gives the Czech team a player who is already used to playing the more rugged North American style of play but also an excellent 2 way center.
Horak is very dangerous on the penalty kill having already scored 2 shorthanded goals as well as assists on 2 others.
We would expect Horak to be used as a checking forward here but do not be surprised if Horak winds up on a scoring line as well.
Horak for the season with the Bruins 13-16-29 +12.
We will have more later as we get closer to the start of the tournament.
