In the center of things

Anthony Duclair (Quebec Remparts)
Just one prospect in action on Saturday night and that was the New York Ranger's 3rd round pick Anthony Duclair of the Quebec Remparts. Duclair was playing his first game as a center for the Remparts and for a first outing the results were not bad.

Duclair had a goal (power play) and was 11 for 22 on faceoffs as the Remparts defeated the Shawinigan Cataractes 4-2. Duclair's goal was the fourth of the game coming at the 2:59 mark of the 3rd period giving the Remparts a two goal lead.

Duclair was the first line center and it is hard to get a real read on a prospect from his first game of the season but one thing was clear, Duclair has speed and plenty of it. Thought he passed up on other offensive chances in order to not make mistakes and that kind of thinking is understandable when one is making a change in positions. I think as Duclair becomes comfortable at center that he won't pass up opportunities down the road.
