The Monday Report

USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine Men's College Hockey Poll

The only real news among the prospects is the weekly USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine Weekly Men's College Hockey Poll as Carl Hagelin's Michigan Wolverines fell out of the top spot after suffering a 1-0 loss and a 2-2 tie with instate rival 5th ranked Michigan State.

Michigan dropped to 2nd in the new poll for the first time in 5 weeks as fellow CCHA member Miami of Ohio returned to the top spot. In fact 3 of the top 4 teams in this week's poll are members of the CCHA (Michigan State is the other).

With a month remaining before all the conference tournaments start it appears that no team is going to be able to hold on to the top spot all the way though the end of the Frozen Four. One thing though is clear as the road to the NCAA Championship is going to run though the CCHA.

Holding off a couple of days

With all 3 Ranger prospects who play in the QMJHL in action Tuesday night, we will hold off on the nominations for the Dean Prentice Prospect Of the Month for a couple of days.

Dubi took a break and put a little more into the newest issue of the Blueshirt Bulletin. The latest issue has a ton of good reads (and we are not talking about our prospect efforts) that just might make this the best issue of the season.

The article written by a friend Peter Hasapis about he and his son meeting Brian Leetch is going to bring back a lot of good memories for anyone who got to meet a special person like a Leetch.

There are also a lot of report cards in this issue as Ranger players, management and prospects all see their efforts graded.

The thing we are noticing among the writers is that everyone is working that much harder to bring better features to any and all readers.

And you can get all this for a mere 30 bucks for a season, 50 gets you 2 seasons so join the many Ranger fans who want the best news possible and subscribe to the Blueshirt Bulletin at this link here.
