50/50 Wednesday

Adam Pelech (OHL Images)
Just 2 games on the prospect scoreboard for the New York Ranger and New York Islander prospects as they split the games. Adam Pelech (NYI 2012 3rd) along with Troy Donnay (NYR UFA 2013) and their Erie Otters fell to 1-1-1-0 after losing to the Saginaw Spirit 2-1.

This one was the Otters running into a buzzsaw of a goalie as Saginaw's Jake Patterson held them to just the lone goal on 44 shots. Erie had their chances but Patterson kept them off the board surrendering only a power play goal in the 3rd period. Adam Pelech had the primary assist on the goal for his 2nd point of the season.

Pelech also had a minor for interference while Donnay had a minor for cross checking.

In Edmonton, Kyle Burroughs (NYI 2013 7th) and his Regina Pats just smoked the Edmonton Oil Kings 6-0 on Wednesday evening. Burroughs was scoreless on a +2 as the Pats used 2 shorthanded goals during a 4 goal second period to turn this game into a solid road win. The win was the first of the season for the Pats as they are 1-2 after 3 games.
